The collection consists of a diary written in 1932-1933 by an unidentified Irish Roman Catholic priest. He wrote the diary while living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He includes his opinions on historical events and figures, poems, and hand drawn portraits of important figures in the Church, business, and politics. Sketches include Adolf Hitler, Herbert Hoover, John D. Rockefeller, Calvin Coolidge, Brigham Young, and Albert Einstein.

It has been determined that the priest who created the diary was located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania circa 1932-1933 and belonged to an Irish Roman Catholic congregation. Anyone with information that may assist with identification of the creator is encouraged to contact the ULS Archives & Special Collections.
