Description
Two students pose in their traditional May Day costumes. Begun around 1900, the annual festival was not presented after this special effort in 1947. Festivities included strolling performers, musicians, and a "Foolscap" themed pageant written by Dr. Phyllis Marschall Ferguson, professor of drama. Newspapers ran special features and department stores mounted window displays of "what to wear to PCW May Day."
