Description
Part of the new educational center of campus, Laura Falk Hall of Social Studies was opened in 1953. A large part of the funding for this building was given by the Maurice and Laura Falk Foundation, which was created to support political science and health care research. Maurice Falk was a business leader and philanthropist in Pittsburgh; His wife, Laura, was described as a "benefactor and humanitarian." Chatham's Falk Hall houses classrooms as well as faculty offices and a student lounge.
