While learning how a radio station operates and how to contribute to its operation, Joanne reads city and regional newspapers and announcements for the hour long news shows. She reported: It was very exciting for me, as a college sophomore, to work closely with communication professionals, and my daily work taught me how to handle professional responsibilities".
