Description
H.J. Heinz Company employees enjoying a noonday concert in the courtyard of the main plant in Pittsburgh’s North Side neighborhood. White capped ladies view the band from windows surrounding the courtyard. In the lower right foreground is the Time Office where Heinz employees registered their time when they arrived and left the factory complex. The Time Office was a twenty-five feet square, one-story high structure built with terra cotta Pompeian brick. The structure had three entrances, one used by the male employees, one used by the female employees, and the general public and visitors used the center passage.
