Description
Caption on back of photograph reads “View of transmission line being installed to connect the North and South Mill areas of the Aliquippa Works in Aliquippa, PA.” The Aliquippa Works, at full operation, used about 52 million kilo-watt hours of electric power per month. About half was generated in the north and south powerhouses, two miles apart but connected by two transmission lines. The balance of the energy requirements came from the Duquesne Light Company system.
