Description
The Point as seen from near the Ohio River. The three most prominent bridges in the photograph are the West End Bridge (foreground), the Manchester Bridge (left center), and the Point Bridge (right center). Both the Point Bridge and Manchester Bridges were demolished in 1970 to make way for the fountain at the Point. The three tallest buildings from left to right include the Gulf Oil Building (built in 1932), the Koppers Building (built in 1929), and the Grant Building (built in 1930).
