  • The 12-story Bell Telephone Building is located at 201 Stanwix Street in downtown Pittsburgh. It was completed in 1957 under the supervision of architects Press C. and William C. Dowler at a cost of over $8.5 million. The Equitable Life Assurance Society purchased Stanwix Street in the late 1940s and sold a large track of land to Bell Telephone Company, allowing them to construct the office building during Pittsburgh's Renaissance I.
