Description
Seen from the original Bigelow Boulevard, foreground, Saint Mary’s Convent was demolished in 1950 to make way for the Bigelow Apartments. The convent, home for many nuns in the Pittsburgh Catholic Diocese, was 100 years old when it was razed.
