Description
The Mesta Machine Company’s Forging Plant utilized annealing and heat-treating furnaces and quenching tanks, in addition to, 1000, 1500, and 2000-ton steam hydraulic forging presses to create forgings on ingots from the steel department. The forging plant was split into three departments, the first of which utilized hand tools, such as small steam hammers and hand forgers, the second and third departments utilized the hydraulic presses to successfully create the heavy machinery that Mesta sold to numerous countries, including, Canada, Australia, India, England, France, Italy, and Japan.
