Description
Under the sponsorship of the Pittsburgh Public Schools’ Art Department, a pageant called “Ring, Freedom, Ring” was presented at the conference of the Western Pennsylvania Education Association in October of 1942. Thirteen sets of scenery were built along with a front curtain showing a map of the United States. A full-scale model of the Liberty Bell was also produced. The sets were used for historical and patriotic presentations, and a number of high school choirs performed, one of which is pictured here.
