Description
Burgwin Elementary School, located at 5401 Glenwood Avenue in the Hazelwood and part of the Greenfield section of Pittsburgh, was named for the Burgwin Family and for the first principle at the school. The school opened in 1939 and was still open in 2003. The original architect that designed the school building was M.M. Steen.
