Description
Carrick High School took its name from the Pittsburgh neighborhood where it was located. Carrick High School first opened for students in 1925. A new addition was completed in 1966, and provided new facilities for occupational, vocational, and technical training. The new addition also housed laboratories for physics, biology, and chemistry. It now serves students from the Allentown, Arlington, Beltzhoover, Bon Air, Carrick, Knoxville, Mount Oliver, Mount Washington, Overbrook, and Saint Clair Village communities of Pittsburgh.
