Description
Hays School, located at 628 Mifflin Road, was named in honor of James H. Hays, who lived on what was known at the time as Six Mile Ferry. The school was built to replace Blackburn School, which was destroyed by fire. The school opened in 1907 and was closed in 1973. In December 1979 it was sold to Mr. Wayne Marlatt.
