Description
View of the George Westinghouse Memorial Bridge at U.S. Route 30 over Turtle Creek between East Pittsburgh and North Versailles Township. The bridge was built between 1929 and 1932. Its deck rises 240 feet above the valley and the length of the bridge is 1,598 feet. The bridge's central arch, once the longest concrete arch in the world, spans 460 feet. The bridge is on the National Register of Historic Places.
