Originally published in the Pittsburgh Sun Telegraph. Owned by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Cartoon by Cy Hungerford about the Sesquicentennial Pittsburgh Building, designed by architect Edward B. Lee. The Sesquicentennial Exposition was the 1926 World's Fair which took place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which celebrated the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, as well as the 50th anniversary of the Centennial Exposition of the World's Fair in 1876 Philadelphia. Hungerford depicts sights and peoples of the Pittsburgh delegation during the World's Fair and the dedication of the Pittsburgh building in the fair grounds complex. 1912 Hungerford began as a newspaper cartoon artist at the Pittsburgh Sun, afterwards he produced daily cartoons at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette from 1927 until his retirement in 1977.
