Description
A view of the Penn Avenue Bridge looking west showing The image also shows holes in the floor plates. The Liberty Theatre, showing the film "Painted People" starring Colleen Moore, is visible on the right at the end of the bridge. The Liberty Theatre was built in 1915 and designed by H. E. Kennedy & Co. (Pittsburgh) Architects, with Henry Hornbostel as consulting architect. The theatre featured a terra cotta front with the American flag in lights in the center. It was demolished in 1968.
