  • "One hundred years ago the Methodists of McKeesport owned an interest in two lots on Market Street, given by a pioneer who believed in the need of a house of worship. Today they own eight beautiful churches and parsonages valued at $715,000.00. Their combined membership is 3,889, and Sunday school enrollment is 3,243. This history attempts to record the story of that growth. It is an account of struggles, trials, failures and successes made possible by the great leadership of preachers and laymen."
