Description
Mary Roberts Rinehart's correspondence sorted alphabetically under the letter L, including personal correspondence with Catherine R. Lackey, Mrs. Lamar R. Leahy, Elizabeth Sherman Lindsay, James D. Lowe, and William T. Lowe, as well as correspondence with Walter B. Louer regarding an attempt by Rinehart's Filipino servant Reyes to kill her. Also included are a recipe from Mary Langhorne, political correspondence with Herbert H. Lehman, Rinehart's Library of Congress library card, a request from Harold Lloyd for her picture, a request from the Longines Wittnauer Watch Company for a radio statement from Mrs. Rinehart, and correspondence Marten E. Lamont of the Lamont Cinevision Productions regarding a failed attempt of Lamont's to produce a "Tish" TV series.
