She talks about her voyage to America at age eleven; life with her sister and brother-in-law in Millvale; of using brother-in-law’s last name. She talks about her years in Millvale; St. Anthony School. She talks about doing domestic work in Beechview; going to work for the Sisters of St. Joseph in Baden at age thirteen. [t1s2] Sister Cyril Zotter talks about her work as domestic help for the Sisters of St. Joseph at their Motherhouse and Mount Gallitzin Academy. She talks about life there: taking streetcar to Ambridge to Mass; farmers; “tramps;” the Harvest Festival; construction of chapel; caring for boys; gas lamps; electricity. She talks of becoming a Sister of St. Joseph at age 21 and being held back from vows. She remembers home life in Austria.
