Description
This image overlooks the Pennsylvania Railroad from outside downtown Johnstown, Pennsylvania after the 1889 flood. A long train can be seen running across the middle of the image. Several locomotives have been damaged and scattered across the ground in front of the tracks. A group of workers are standing around one of the damaged train cars. Excess flood water covers the foreground of the image, with one small, man-made wooden bridge standing over it near the right edge of the picture.
