  • View of Johnstown, Pennsylvania from Prospect Hill after the 1889 flood. The downtown, from Franklin Street and adjoining blocks to the east, can be seen in the distance. It appears that the Gautier plant is operating in temporary frame buildings. Tents of the PA militia can also been seen.
