Description
Frank Conrad stands with a Shallenberger meter at an exhibit of Westinghouse machinery created for the Ford Museum. The contents of the exhibit, amounting to 600 items, were donated to Henry Ford's museum in Dearborn, Michigan. Caption reads: "Frank Conrad with the first meter at the Ford Exhibit. Dr. Frank Conrad, chief engineer for Westinghouse and recognized as the originator of radio broadcasting, is shown with the first Shallenberger meter and one of the 1929 models." Note: The portrait of Shallenberger is pasted onto the original photograph of Conrad at the exhibit.
