  • Kenneth Chadderton (1904-1992) has been called one of Pitcairn’s most colorful characters. His family opened the town’s first Nickelodeon theater and later sold and serviced cars at their dealership on Wall Avenue. Young Kenny who was driving at 13, helped out in the family business. He had a 31-year career at Exxon Oil, and he took an active interest in the community’s sports program. Known as someone who always had a friendly greeting and a kind word for residents, his warmth and good cheer were legendary.
