Description
The first Oakmont Post Office, which opened in 1857, was housed in the Hulton Railroad Station and known as the Hulton Post Office. The name changed to Oakmont Post Office in 1894. The postmaster in 1857 was Jonathon Hulton. Before settling in its current location, the post office moved through a couple of different buildings. The Oakmont Post Office's current location is Allegheny River Boulevard and Maryland Avenue. Originally from the collection of Joseph Grubbs.
