  • The Oakmont Auxiliary Police force of 1989 is shown here. In the front row sit C. Mason, R. Fletcher. P. Hissem and G. Perrone. In the middle row sit B. McKurk, one of two women on the force, R. Dunkle, who sports a fabulous mustache and shades, L. Wright, W. Geiser and S. George, the other woman in the force. In the back row stand J. Christy, J. Portera, N. Cope, W. Edsall, J. Dixon, G. Raymond and J. Woomer. A poster on the wall behind them says "These people are looking for trouble." The members of the Auxiliary Police force vary greatly in age. The Oakmont Auxiliary Police volunteer for traffic control and help both the Police and Fire Departments during any emergency.
