  • This parade of soldiers took place in 1946. The men wear black uniforms, which must have been extremely hot on a sunny summer day. Women on the side of the street watch the men march, wearing more weather-appropriate skirts and short sleeves. One woman even holds a parasol to protect from the sun. Three older men lead the company and a car follows behind the larger group. The parade is going up Allegheny River Boulevard.
