Description
The foreground of the image focuses on debris of various types floating in the high waters. In the background, the railroad tracks, just high enough to remain out of the water, can be seen. An inundated house stands on the left side of this photograph. The flood of 1936 that hit on St. Patrick's Day caused damage to over 130 buildings in Oakmont alone.
