Description
The house in this photograph was one of many in Oakmont to be seriously damaged by the 1936 St. Patrick's Day Flood. Water covers the first floor almost completely, while snow remains on the roof. In the yard of the house, lots of debris hangs in the water, like a large wooden box of some sort. In the background, the water tower of Edgewater Steel can be clearly seen. Over 130 buildings were damaged in Oakmont alone.
