Description
Six team members of Pittsburgh's baseball team the Pirates in Forbes Field, their home from June 30, 1909 until July 28, 1971. Smokey Burgess played first base for the Pirates 1949-1967, Don Clendenon played first base 1961-1968, Bob Veale pitched 1962-1969, and Danny Murtaugh, former Pirate second baseman, had been appointed manager in 1957. In the background are stadium seats with fans waiting for the start of the game.
