Description
Blacks learned how to vote using this educational tool or mock up of voting machine. Mr. Young is demonstrating to Florence Williams (with glasses) and a lady in light coat reported to be Harris's cousin. Posters read: Kennedy for President Leadership for the 60's; Bill Moorhead Vote Democratic; Robert F. Kent Vote Republican; Smith State Treasurer Vote Republican." Kennedy won the 1960 presidential election over the Republican candidate, Richard M. Nixon."
