Description
Miss Laura C. Green serves tea during the Student Government Association tea for the Freshmen. Miss Green came to the college in 1901 as instructor in Latin and Greek. She was a graduate of Wellesley. She received her master's degree from Columbia and studied in Italy and Greece. She retired from Chatham in 1936. One of her students wrote of Miss Green: "Devoted to her subject, patient with her students, she made them feel the beauty and the power of Latin poetry."
