The interior of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad repair shop facility showing freight cars lined up ready to be repaired. This facility, built by Trimble Company of Pittsburgh, was used primarily by the Railroad to repair and maintain freight cars and locomotives. The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad operations in Pittsburgh were second only to the Pennsylvania Railroad. The Railroad operated a freight terminal between the Tenth Street Bridge and the Pennsylvania Panhandle Bridge and a six-track freight station at First Avenue and Try Street in downtown Pittsburgh.
