Description
Graphic artist Nancy J. Halfast works on a H.J. Heinz Company product label. During the early twentieth century, a large contingent of designers turned out elegant signs and labels, such as the keystone-shaped (from the Keystone State) ketchup labels, as well as display and point-of-sales materials. Printed on lithographic stones, often with 20 colors, their registration and deep jewel-like tones were very detailed.
