Description
Fully equipped infirmary rooms were maintained at the H.J. Heinz Company main plant in Pittsburgh’s North Side neighborhood. The medical facility included examination rooms and a medical staff to provide physical examinations and health care for sick or injured employees. This extraordinary employee benefit at the time was one of many advantages of working for the H.J. Heinz Company.
