  • H.J. Heinz Company employees preparing crocks, barrels, and boxes for shipment. Along with the high quality of its products, Heinz was known for the elegance of its delivery service. Horse-drawn delivery wagons (likely white with green trimmings) were used for containers of Heinz goods (pictured here), including baked beans in tomato sauce, mustard, chow-chow, and apple butter.
