Description
A bathroom onboard a river towboat during the first half of the twentieth century. Starting in the 1950s, diesel powered towboats contained space heating equipment and air conditioning. Officers onboard towboats had private rooms with beds, baths, showers, and all the luxuries associated with modern hotels including steam heat, electric light, and maid service.
