Description
Annie Jacobs Davis, known as the "Mother of Montefiore Hospital," was the founder of the Hebrew Ladies' Aid Society. Organized in 1898, the HLAS raised the funds to open the hospital in 1908 and was the forerunner to the Ladies' Hospital Aid Society.
