Description
Many structures were razed to make way for Mellon Square Park in downtown Pittsburgh. Some of these building included the old Davis Theater and the 40 year old People’s Natural Gas Building at Sixth Street and William Penn Place. The 1.37-acre, $7.9 million park was completed in 1955. In the background is the 24-story Henry W. Oliver Building.
