Description
A new teacher being evaluated by three instructors seated in the background. The Henry Clay Frick School, formerly the Training School for Teachers, was named in honor of Henry Clay Frick in recognition of the many benefits that Pittsburgh teachers received from the Frick Educational Commission. When the school opened in September 1927, it was a training school for prospective teachers in the Pittsburgh public school system, as well as an elementary school. The training school closed in June 1937 and the building then became known as H. C. Frick School. In 2003 the school was an International Studies Academy.
