Description
In August 1921 plans were initiated for the present Greenfield School building. Construction on the building, designed by architects were Kiehnel and Elliot, began in 1922. In 1923 the school was ready for occupancy. The building contained an auditorium with a seating capacity of approximately 660 people and a pool measuring 30 feet by 50 feet with a depth of seven feet at the deep end and a capacity of 55,300 gallons. In September 1958 it became a junior high school as well as an elementary school.
