Description
According to the 1951-1952 Pittsburgh Public School Annual Report of the Superintendent, “Vocal music is an important ‘cultural tool’ for making better the life of the individual, the school, the community.” Taylor Allderdice High School, located at the corner of Shady Avenue and Forward Street, is one of Pittsburgh largest urban high schools. Taylor Allderdice serves the Pittsburgh communities of East Hills, Greenfield, Hays, Hazelwood, Lincoln Place, New Homestead, Park Place, Regent Square, Squirrel Hill, Swisshelm Park, and portions of Homewood and Point Breeze.
