  • Peabody High School was named in honor of Dr. Benjamin H. Peabody, a prominent East Liberty physician, who for many years was a member of the Highland District School Board. The Peabody High School Library housed thousands of volumes that were in constant circulation. The school serves the Pittsburgh communities of Bloomfield, Friendship, East Liberty, Garfield, Highland Park, Larimer, Lawrenceville, Lincoln, Morningside, Shadyside, and Stanton Heights.
