Description
Grandview Elementary School, located on 845 McLain Street in the Allentown neighborhood of Pittsburgh, opened in 1962. The building was designed by architects Press C. Dowler and William Dowler. In 2003 the average class size was 20.2 pupils and total enrollment was approximately 328. The school offered special programs that include Life Skills Support, the Publishing Center, and the Summer Academic Program. In addition, the school offered Internet access for all students in their homerooms and a spectacular view of the Pittsburgh city skyline (pictured here).
