Description
A view of two army visitors shielding their faces as a steel plate is sprayed after rolling. This photograph, taken shortly after the end of the Korean war, illustrates the importance of steel production to the defense industry. Steel plates used for ship and tank armor had been produced at the Homestead works for decades.
