  • A glimpse into one of the Forge Department's reheating furnaces. Steel ingots would be reheated in these furnaces to make them malleable enough to be shaped by one of the forging presses. Once the press had given the steel a basic shape, the forging would then be taken to the Machine Shop where it would be worked into a finished product.
