Description
Press operators adjust feed paper on rollers in the Home Offices of the Pittsburgh Courier. One of the oldest and most prestigious Black newspapers in the United States, the weekly newspaper's staff included many skilled technicians in their printing operations. The Pittsburgh Courier was founded by Robert L. Vann in 1910. It's circulation peak came in 1948 when 450,000 people worldwide subscribed to the paper.
