Description
View of Liberty Avenue, looking southwest towards the upper-deck exit of the Fort Pitt Bridge (opened 1959) and the former Pittsburgh State Office Building (left) (built in 1957, it was sold in 2010 and converted into an apartment building, named River Vue Apartments). Also in view is the Point Bridge (right). Opened in 1927 to replace to original Point Bridge, it was closed in 1959 after the completion of the Fort Pitt Bridge, and demolished in 1970.
