  • Chick C. discusses his wife, their relationship while he was in Homestead and she was in Detroit, and their marriage in 1926. His siblings leaving South Carolina and dispersing across Northern cities. Beginning mill work in the labor gang, then being promoted out to a permanent position in a pile gang, and his experience there. Race relations in the mill.
