Description
Benjamin L. B. discusses work conditions and pay at the mill, including racial demographics and relations between workers and foremen. Retiring from work at the mill. His impression of living in Homestead, and activities he partook in outside of work (live music, dancing, some non-violent gang activity). Joining Second Baptist Church around 1928, in part due to a drunk driving incident. Negative tensions between Black people from Homestead and those who migrated from the South. Social clubs and organizations in the Homestead area, as well as church-based activities/groups. Staying close to his family in South Carolina.
